Dyna Super Glide Custom Sissy Bar Install
I need some advice/help, I tired to install a rigid mount sissy bar on my FXDC today. When I tried to remove the bolt that holds the turn signal it will not come out as it hits the tire. Maybe I'm missing something and I;m just tired. I installed a D&D Fat Cat exhaust today too. Any assistance or help would be greatly appreciated. By the way it's q 2010.

Jack the bike up, so the back tire drops down some........either that or disconnect the shocks to let the swing arm swing down until you have clearance.

I thought of both of those, only problem is I don't have a jack. If I can't come up with anything else I'll try dropping the shocks. Thanks.

You can try letting the air out of the tire, that may give you enough clearance

If you have a scissor jack from a car that will work. Just place towards the rear of the frame and use a block of wood to protect the frame. I had to do that once before I had my bike jack. You will only need to raise it up a little bit to get the bolts to clear the tire...I know because I had the same problem when I was putting my docking kit on my bike......

Thanks for all the input. I tried letting air out of the tire, that didn't help either. My jack is back at my cabin in Ohio.. Just might have to wait until I travel there in Feb and bring it back.

Install a solid mount sissy bar on my 2011, had to use a jack and alittle elbow grease, finally got it on. Be careful and take your time so you don't scratch you fender.

What do you use to keep from scratching your fender?
Black rubber washers or what?
