Wooooooobbbbbbbblllllleeeee
My brand new bike had one from the factory. Took it back to the dealer and they checked it out and told me there was too much air in the front tire (it was set according to the owners manual) so they deflated it some and sure enough it went away.
Didn't have it again till I put new triple trees on the bike, and this time it was worse. 80-90mph wobble that would make you debrief after a ride. Sometimes easing up on my grip would help and sometimes no. I was always crazy about almost letting go of the handlebars at near 100mph...
I let off the throttle because it was so bad that if it got worse, I would have been on the pavement. It wasn't a shimmy, it was a bucking bronco.

Happened to me once on my VTX 1800 C doing 80 mph on I 95. It happens so fast hard to say what you will do. From what I remember I just let off on the throttle and the wobble stopped. I do not remember hitting the brakes. I pulled off on the next exit and checked the tire pressure. The front tire was 10 lbs under inflated. Running a tire under inflated too long can can cup a tire which will cause "The Wobble"!

Not, alot of experience with bike, but in trucks you can sometime get whats called a "Death Wobble" Ive gotten through it before by letting off the gas an stopping the vehicle and also increasing the throttle... Guess it depends where the wobble originates from, if the tire is at fault on a rig then adding gas doesnt work well... If the suspension is to blame then adding gas is the answer, or stopping, depends on the speed.
