Angry Headlight adjustment WTF!!!!!!!!!!!

you would think to be easy, NOT! Can't even budge the bolt it is so f'ing tight...... speaking of tight there is no room to get in there to get a socket on it as far as i can see without risking the dropping of the socket onto the front fender. WTF is just a simple job so GD complicated because of a ridiculously stupid design.

Venting and pi**d off at such a stupid thing that should be simple. Why the He** is it even set up that way??

Sometimes you can move the headlight without loosening the bolt. Ask how I know. Just grab the headlight bucket and push down or pull up on it. My bolt for the adjustment is unmovable as well.

I had to use a 1/2" socket wrench to get mine loose.

Throw thick towel over fender and tank as well to be safe.

The worst part is trying to get it tight enough that the bucket won't move after you get it where you want it without moving it yet again. I would try to adjust without messing with that FU$%^&G bolt.

I assume you are talking about the side-mounted vertical adjustment bolt? If so, mine must have been installled by the same gorilla that put yours on. I finally gave up and tried a different approach. I removed the bolt that secures the headlight block to the tree and removed it with the headlight attached. That gave me enough room to put a socket and electric impact driver on, and it came off instantly. I replaced it with a chrome allen and nylock. Problem solved.

I had my tank off when I loosened mine but that's because I was taking the front end apart. I could see it being more difficult with the tank on.
