Default Help needed cant find relay

1999 ultra and cant find starter relay is it in location besides under side cover or under seat? Have book for a 2001 model it shows it in fuse block under side cover mine has fuses only no relay.Hope someone can give some help.

I believe that it is under the fairing by the headlamp.

Other place it may be is under the seat behind the battery.

Are you referring to the starter "solenoid"? There shouldn't be a relay. The starter switch puts power to your solenoid and engages your starter drive. What kind of problems are you having?

Agree with MikeT, no relay. I have 99 Ultra same system. Esplain your issue and we can help. I'll look up in the tech manual when i get home tonight to help yo out if you still need it.

got starter working but now no spark. I had tried to start with 10 amp battery charger hooked up but have no spark now

Is your battery voltage low? Using a jumper to get it to crank is not great idea. When you crank and voltage drops below 8vdc the ECU shuts down and will not allow trigget to ignition control module and will not crank angle sensor. Get voltage up or a new battery and see what you got. If you are having to jump with a good battery you have a bad ground on teh neg cable someplace on the frame. Grounds are very important on EFI systems.

checked ground left battery tender on overnight til green light came on indicating fully charged battery
