Default Sissy bar installation

I have a 09 FXDC and I am wanting to put a sissy bar on with detachable sideplates. My question is do I have to do a turn signal relocation for the side plates? Thanks for your help!!

You dont have to relocate them but you have to install a different mount for them.

You need this for the front mount 53961-06

and to replace the mounts for the turn signals you need 53968-06B (I think the number has been changed to 53968-06C but the website still shows the B)

They call it a relocation kit, but it relocate out so the detach space can fit in..

I got my parts to do mine, question:

How do the turn signal wires detatch? Are they quick detach under the fender?
or do they need to be cut?

This easy to do your self?

They detach at the brake light but the kit has you cut them so they will fit through the new stalks.

It can be a pain getting the wires pushed through but its not a hard job.

Default wide tire

Any idea if the 53968-06 "relocation kit" will work with the 180 wide tire kit?

I am wondering the same thing as the 180 mm Wide Tire Kit #43768-06 has a note that says if a Dyna Saddlebag Kit has been previously installed then you can discard the rear fender brackets etc. and only use the tire in the kit. Seems like a waste to buy the kit, should have just purchased the tire #43197-04A. Anyway, this note is very vague as I have a detachable sissy bar and saddle bags that are useing the #53968-06 docking hardware. The 53968-06 fender bracket is tight to the fender but not as tight as the included fender brackets. I am not able to use the included fender brackets as the rear bolt location isn't threaded so I may need to modify the existing fender brackets. Has anyone installed the wide tire kit and left the 53968-06 fender brackets as is?

I had both, the widetire kit, and the relocation kit installed before delivery..
I was at the time led to believe that the 180 kit was necessary if I wanted the tire, however even tho it may be a good idea, it is not necessary..
