Anti Lock Brakes on Road King - from what year?

Thunderbueller is a bit off the mark here. He is right about USA bikes, but there is a whole world out there!!
You are in belgium. HDI (international) bikes had ABS as standard from 2009 onwards. The 2008 Screamin Eagle RK had ABS std, but not sure if it went to Belguim.
The 2009 ABS is hopeless, if you end up with an 09 be sure to get the dealer to flash upgrade the software.
Dont expect BMW grade ABS, the HD ABS is pretty dumb and can actually increase your stopping distance.

Hey sounds like you moreorless are solid in knowing what your talking about but at the same time your the first I have heard so bluntly put downing the HD abs... So not to take over this thread but will you please elaborate a bit on your great dislike of the HD ABS?

It has so many times before. Putting down HD ABS really pisses people off for some reason. Anyhow, if you had ridden a 2007 or later BMW with ABS you would know what I am talking about.

BMW @ 60 MPH (136.81 feet to 151.28 feet)-20 stops test-Average decel rate 27.10 ft/s
H-D @ 60 MPH (141.07 feet to 158.96 feet)-20 stops test-Average decel rate 26.15 ft/s
For weighing 178 lbs. more, I'd say that H-D isn't rubbish at all...in fact it is outstanding!
And to answer the original question...Police FLHP-Roadking and FLHTP-Electra Glide got the first ABS in 2005 and they were optional. This ABS system was produced on police bikes from 2005-2007 models. Then in 2008 a new ABS system was introduced to both police and pleasure touring bikes.

Before buying the 09', with my current bike, I had argued to myself that under most conditions with my skill I could come darn near any ABS system. OF course I am man enough to suggest that I don't honestly know if my ego or technology will ultimently win. I figure if it doesn't work out as well as it claims and that many people agree to that the option of shutting it off in all but snowy/icey or gravel/dirt settings is always there...
Someone mentioned installing a toggle switch, good idea, if the system isn't as up to par as I hope.
