Default sirius antenna install

I just installed my sirius antenna in my faring on my ultra limited. It was painless and works great. So if you are planning to do this install it is very easy. And i made my own bracket for it in the faring. No need to buy one. I was very skeptical about installing it inside the fairing. No need to worry.

Good to know...I just installed mine in the fairing last night& it works great on the driveway, but I was a little worried about out on the road & on cloudy days, etc.

No, satellite has its own little hockey puck antenna. If you have your sat. radio going thru the axu. port, you don't even need an antenna for your regular radio.

I had mine stuck to the top of radio under the fair and it would loose reciption real easy, so I relocated it on the shelf above the right speaker with double stick tape. All is well now.

I have 3 bars of signal. i used a piece of metal for a mount. I am a firm believer of a good ground for a antenna for proper receive.

Is this shelf inside or outside the fairing?
Thanks

I just ordered my XM receiver and I can't wait to get it on there..

I'm so used to having it in my work truck, and I've discovered that I just have to have it with me on those long rides on the bike as well.

Seriously - Pics would be very helpful to see how you made the bracket and where you attached it.

Sorry no pics of bracket. Just found a old piece of metal bent it and drilled a hole and mounted it above the left speaker.
