3 year owner of an 07 ultra. been to many service departments in the tri state area.


The worst service department....Harley in Rahway NJ. After paying cash for an 07 ultra, went back to buy the items this forum recommended to fix the heat demon problem and the 6th gear klank problem, and after it was determined my bike was out of warranty and I had no extended plan, was told to get off the property or I would be escorted by the cops. Mind you, I was wanting to pay for the parts. I left clearly feeling like Your a cash cow if you have a warranty or service plan and a pain in the *** if you don't.

The best service department....Staten Island NY. When ever I go in there, I get treated like a valued customer and I see other customers being treated like valued customers. Much tutoring goes on there. Tips and tricks. For Staten Island Harley, you are not just a parts or service sale, you are a valued relationship.

 

Sounds like the place in Jersey needs to be burned to the ground if the story is factual and they make a habit of it. I have been to many dealerships and never felt like I was not appreciated. Didn't matter if I was spending big bucks or just buying an O ring.

 

Go to jackson tn and that'll change

I also believe there's more to this story. If it happened exactly as told, that dealer might be open to a lawsuit.

 

i say there's gotta be more to this. a dealer is not gonna be able to stay in business if they keep escorting paying customers off the property.

let's hear the whole story, did you go in there screaming and yelling? or what?

 

+1 on hearing the entire story from beginning to end...then let's decide if the dealer is a jerk or if both parties are to blame...

 

best = O'tooles in Wurtsboro NY, nice people, good service and no BS, small place, not the large harleys that have all this overhead and need to rape you every time you walk in.
WORST - Kosco in NJ , too many reasons to list.

 

..please..a dealer just for no good reason throws you off the property?...I don't think so...must have been a pretty harsh conversation goin on just before that happened...
