dobek tuners are the style like rev tech, arlen ness and cobra. they allow you to add fuel, but not take any away. not a bad tuner for the $$$$, but the V&H and powercommander give you way more tunability.

Power Commander is definitely more sophisticated than the othes you mentioned. However, the Dobeck/Techlusion DFO/TFI is a better system than those others becuase it operates based on speed density, not throttle position. Stock, Stage I or even with a "mouse" cam.

Have their GEN 3 on a 2008 Ultra. Love it, runs smoother, cooler, have better throttle response (even with the TBW). Still have 42+ MPG on the highway. At first it was the only change I had on the bike but have made a few other mods since, the GEN 3 continues to perform great. It "cures" the lean fuel problem that the MOCO set up gives us. Dobeck Co also offers a military discount and is a sponsor on one of the other forums offering a discount to members. Yes, the PC and SE have more optoins... but not for under 2 bills, easy at home install, and no dealer or dyno time needed.

Its a fine, reasonably priced solution for the factory lean set up. For a stock-stage1 bike, this is what I would go with.

Any difference between the Dobeck TFI and the Revtech DFO 3.5? Revtech claims theirs was developed by Dobeck and both are claimed to be "load based" vs just TPS and RPM.

But Dobeck's is $50 cheaper and they offer a military/first responder discount.

Talked to the tech there. He told me if I could wait a couple of weeks, a new, I believe gen 4 is on the way. Totally digital.
Guess I can wait.

Any bets that the new Gen4 Dobeck will be ~$300? They will have inventory of old G3s to get rid of and won't want to fire sale them. You can find a PCV for around 3 bills.
