Talking A friggin paper plate!

I searched this forum, called friends and looked puzzled at my bike for a strange noise that I swore was my primary bearings gone bad. I finally had my wife come out and listen to the bike as I pushed it forward and backward to listen to the strange noise that was gonna have to be fixed. She listened to the terrible sound as I moved the bike, then she reached in and pulled out a friggin paper plate. A paper plate! A friggin paper plate was lodged up in the bike. So much for my mechanical skills, nobody ever ask me to help fix their stuff.

ETA: Not laughing at you.... I can sympathize. I've done stuff that makes that seem like nothing...

True...and don't forget that coming in contact with a paper plate would also void the warranty.

Sounds like an oil thread; Can you use paper plates in all three holes!

Glad you found the trouble, although if it was me I would hear that recounted a thousand time before I died

Standard paper plates may be OK for some people, but I use synthetic Chinet.

I would say treat your wife, after all she is the one that save you $. Stealership would have charged you for the diagnosis.

Thought my engine bearings were shot, until I found a bunch of coins mixed in with my vice grips at the bottom of the saddlebag just shakin away as I was going along.
