Default HD light bulb woes (part#67074-02)

I've replaced 2 of the HD #67074-02 light bulbs in the last 2 years. the low burns out. I hear the Sylvania Silver Star H4 -55/60W bulbs are better and last longer. Anyone have any help for me?? Sylvania part #??

thanks

Geeezz... I've never had to replace a bulb. They last for years. I did replace my Fatboy's bulb with the LED one though. Best thing I ever did. So much brighter at night. Worth every penny. As for the bulb I took out, it's in the drawer in case a pebble breaks the bulb in my Deluxe. Good luck... get the LED head lamp. You'll be happier.

Had the same issue in 08 and 09.

Org lasted two yrs, then went through 3 bulbs in 08/09. don't know why. 2 of them bought at HD and I even tried one Honda..
Last summer I got two new ones at another HD dealership, because they were going out so quick. It was a different brand than before.

But since I put one of them in its been good for all last summer and so far this yr..

make sure U don't touch the bulb putting it in with Ur fingers...

I had a problem with the light bulbs in my truck. I started wearing latex gloves to change the bulbs and problem went away. All it takes to ruin a bulb is your hand to touch it slightly. Wear gloves before you even open the package and see if that helps.

i use powder free latex gloves, still blows. going to purchase an aftermarket bulb. Sylvania Silverstar.
For the most part its a PITA but what makes it worse is the headlight bucket I have makes it very hard to change bulbs.
