80 inch EVO motor
I have a 97 fxstc and have installed a new high flow aircleaner and a thunderslide kit. I have plans to install a single fire ignition but my question is what other upgrades have you guys made to your Evo motors ??

Never owned one, but most guys I know that have them do cams..
With cams, pipes and A/C those suckers will move out and kept up with the 88's and 96er's

There's an Evo classic forum on here. Might want to post this thread there for a better response.

Address the cam bearing. There are not many weak points on an Evo, but the cam bearings often fail between 30 and 50K. Cheap fix unless you wait.....

Shave the head a little, shorter head gasket, andrews cams, ignition, jet the carb, and a good set of pipes and it will have no issues keeping up. While your in there, maybe re-ring the stock pistons.

Also, change the lifters around 40K. I know this from experience. Do this when you change the cam bearing.
