SE Stage 1 Kit vs. K&N's RK-3909 Kit
Just checked with my dealer and am told that the SE Stage 1 Kits for 2007's are still not available and had no idea when they would be. Has anyone out there heard from a reliable source when they would be? If it's not going to be for a while, I'm thinking of going to K&N's RK-3909 air filter kit. I think it costs a little more than the SE but I can get one right away. I would very much appreciate any suggestions or comments on one kit versus the other. Thanks and ride safe.

I would go with the Big Sucker/K&N over the SE, IMO

K&N is a much better filter, besides it lasts forever. Se is not as good IMO. K&N = more horsepower.

Check for the k&n filter at autozone. that is where I got mine. $32.99 plus tax I believe.

You can get a 3909 from Jegs.com for about $115 shipped.
They work fine.

Autozone can order the RK-3909 for $109. Just checked yesterday and they said that they would have it the next day if I ordered before 1:30.

The RK-3910 does cost about $15-20 more than the RK-3909. The difference is the 3910 has a filter about 3/4" taller than the 3909. The 3910 is designed for motors that been modified with big bore kits. For a stock TC96, the 3909 is just fine. I'm going to go with the K&N and not the SE. Thanks for the info and where to get it cheap. K&N want $160 for it on their website. Ouch!

RK-3910 does move more air, but unless you are changing the pipes or changing bore size it is not required, and you will be making the engine run leaner... having said that, just add more fuel if you have a SERT.
