Been awhile since I posted on here. My pops was in an accident 2 weeks ago. Coming to a red light two cars in front of him as he slows to a stop he puts his feet down and the car behind him rearends him and his girlfriend. No tire screech or nothing just bam. Bike is totaled but Pops and girlfriend are ok thank God just a little sore.

Dude told the officer he was lost and looking for the street sign. whitness behind him said he was slowing down. Worst part is the douche bag used the excuse pops didnt have any rear lights. MAN THAT PISSED ME OFF! He was just coming back from a ride with friends and they just separated to head home. His buddies all said they saw lights the whole ride this dude is full of it.


Pops bruise after 2 weeks.......

 

Glad he's OK!!!!

Just take a deep breath and consider how lucky he and his gal are.

One of my best friends had a spill last week....compound fractures to both forearms.

We're gonna see what we can do to pimp his ride out for him while he's down, but man, he is in a world of hurt....

 

Geez, that bruise is pretty bad. Glad they are mostly ok.

 

Wow, that is a gnarly bruise! Lucky it didn't turn out worse. I had the same thing happen to me but in my case the chick at least saw me with a enough time to lock up the tires and slow down some before she took me out.

That was fast thinking, claiming he didn't have any tail lights after he smashes your rear end destroyed the evidence. Must have been a lawyer.

 

If you're rolling you can scan ahead and avoid danger or prepare for it. If you are just sitting there you are pretty much screwed.

 

so which is it? you didn't "see" him because he didn't have lights.. (night time?) or that you where not looking at the road, but looking at signs? pfft.. f'r

 

Sorry to hear of this, but glad your pops is alive.

 

If you don't see the bike it is hard to make the statement that it didn't have lights.

 

Exactly!! "I didn't stop in time for the bike that wasn't there, but I KNOW I didn't see any lights on it!"
