+1 on that... that is what my first thought is. you should be able to get more than 1.5 qts in if it is drained.

The trans plug is under the trans pan which has a smaller dark plug. That is what I thought. I drained it from the plug that is more chrome looking toward the outside of left side of bike.

I'm a idiot. Think I got it figured out. I drained the primary. Anybody know how to fill. Looks like I take off the cover. Not sure from there. Looks like I can use same screamin eagle synthetic oil in primary. What a disaster.

to fill the primary, take the derby cover off and with the bike on kickstand I fill my fat bob to the rim right before it would spill out. There is a special funnel thing they make for the primary but I just carefully fill with a regular funnel. Hope this helps... yes you can use the same oil.

Take the derby cover off and i put a piece of 2 by 6 under the kickstand and pour a qt of HD Formula 1 primary\tranny fluid in exposed hole.Replace the gasket if it needs it and tighten screws to spec and becareful they strip easy. Oh and get a manual.

Just put one quart back in the primary, the oil drain plug is the only one facing to the left side of the bike.
