I have my bike back. The handlebars look great. I am flat footed with street shoes without heels. This was an added bonus. I took it for a short ride. The handlebars feel comfortable and feels different than stock. I actually scraped my peg which never happened with the stock bars. I can't wait to go on a longer ride. Here are some pictures.
Thanks - I had them custom made. Local bike builder made them. I just completed a survey from J.D. Powers and Associates and I left negative feedback for HD on the stock handlebars and footpegs. Not sure it will make a difference but you never know.
My negative comment for the handlebars concerned the long/difficult reach for the controls. For the pegs was the poor design and the need to buy different pegs to be more comfortable and improve lean angle. I hope they actually call me for additional comments. I love my bike AFTER making numerous modifications for a better fit.
I think pegs, bars and the seat should be fit to the rider at time of purchase.
I totally agree. However, this is the smallest bike Harley has and I did have them adjust both the handlebars and pegs. On my second time out, my pant leg got suck on the peg and I almost dropped the bike. Changed to forward pegs. No issues. While the bars were adjusted, I still had to reach more than necessary. Seat I knew I would have to change due to my height.
I am not the only person with a SuperLow on this forum with these complaints. I wanted a Harley and if I had to do it again, I would still buy this bike. At the end of the day, the bike is a keeper. Great ride, balance, fast, and fun. I just tell myself just another hundred dollars get over it.
