Agitator wheels
Well, 14,000 miles and almost time for new rubber. Thinking of changing to the Agitator rims but have a couple of questions.
1) All chrome or black and chrome with Sedona Orange?
2) Stay with 18" front or go with 19"? Ride quality?
3) Where new rotors are required should I replace the break pads as well?
All comments appreciated.

Remember that the Agitator does not come in a 16" version (for the rear).
Personally I am partial to the "Contrast" black & chrome version and am seriously considering this set up on my RG.
That said, I like the ride just the way it is which takes me back to the 16" comment...
Floating rotors to match, are the only way to go.

I chose the Black and Chrome with the 19" front wheel and I have no issues with the ride quality. However when I was doing the swap I measured the wheel diameters compared to the stock take offs and the 18" rear was aprox 1" taller than the stock 16". The 19" front was virtually the same height as the stock 17 incher. I chose to drop the bike 1" front and back using Progressive 940's in the rear and Progressive monotube cartridges in the front. I know there will be a lot of different opinions on componants but I am very happy with this set up. The price is right on the HD wheels compared to alot of the other aftermarket offerings and the fit.

My buddy did the chrome agitators on his sedona orange SG and it looked sharp. He also did chrome forks which really made the wheels stand out. I preferred the contrast agitators, but as you can see I have a black bike. We both opted for the 19" front, and neither one of us has had an issue. It's a little lower profile tire, but it's hard to tell any difference from stock. If it was me, I would start fresh with new pads.

I have a 2010 Ultra Limited with stock wheel configuration but my wife has a SG with the Agitator Wheels and 1 inch front drop. While it works for her @ 120 lbs. I find it more harsh and not near as comfortable as my Limited. Of course I am 6'1 and 220 lbs and the shorter suspension and different wheel setup is not really optimal for me but might work great for others.
I'd rather ride my Limited any day for all aspects of the ride!
JMO! Good Luck with your choice!

I chose the all chrome version for my Sedona Orange. For me my last bike was all blacked out and personally I am sick of the blacked out theme.
I went with the 19 front because if I'm gonna pay for rims I wanted more rim, less tire. I have not noticed any difference in handling or ride harshness vs stock.

So if i go with the AGitator wheels it's actullay gonna raise the rear of my bike? I was always a little hesitant on the 18" rear wheel cuz i thought they made the rear LOOK higher, i never knew they actually DID make the bike higher......
GOD D*M IT !
i've been thinking about wheels for like a year, and was about 99% set on the 19/18 AGitators...now i'm back to scratching my head
what i would LOVE would be a 19/17 set up with a 200 rear, but that is only available aftermarket and from what i can tell it quite a bit more $$$
