Default HELP trying to remove baffle/silencer

I have a 2006 harley sportster 883, dont want to spend alot of money on a high performance exhaust because its just a starter bike and i plan to step up to a bigger one next season, but in the mean time i would like to make the bike much louder by removing baffle and silencer. does anyone know how to do this or have any tips/tricks?
Joe

Simple. Remove the bolt that holds the baffle in the slip-on and then use some expanded needle nosed pliers to pull them out. You can leave them out,or modify them by drilling holes in the baffles.

A set of $150 slip ons isnt much money at all and will sound great.

Just a note, not all great sounding slip ons are a lot of money.

What kind of mufflers do you have? Stock will require a hole saw , search for removing baffles on a sportster on you tube.

If you remove the entire baffle, you will lose bottom end torque, your bike will be a dog.

Drill out the center plug and you will have loud when you roll-on throttle, and relatively quiet when idling or cruising, and maintain good bottom end grunt since the baffle still creates back pressure being a smaller diameter than the head pipe.
