moisture on my bike
I keep my bike in a metal building and noticed that it was damp on the chrome the other day. The building is uninsulated and while not airtight, it still doesn't have any air movement through it. I was wondering if some insulation would stop this. Don't want to go to the trouble and expense if it won't help.

Uninsulated metal buildings/sheds are the pits when it comes to condensation.
Yes, a good insulation job will help significantly, but circulating the air is key.

A bed sheet won't do it alone. Put a bed sheet on the bike with a 60 watt light bulb under it. Problem solved. I have to do this every winter due to the temperature swings we have.

We fight this problem yearly in the north. A small fan running, or the light bulb trick, will help. Chrome does not rust, but any little nick anyplace in it will enable rust to start and work its way under the chrome. Moisture is also hell on polished aluminum, and it certainly doesn't do your electronics any favors.
Insulation won't help much to prevent condensation without heat or ventilation. Even an insulated building will eventually drop to near the same temperature as the outside air if there is no heat. Moisture also will come up through your floor, unless there was a vapor barrier put down before the floor was laid.
