I have finally bought a set of engine bar fog lights and about to install them with Halffast's install instructions (thank you) when I finally get hold of a Deutsch connector.

I know the write up says discard the supplied lead but just want to double check that the aux switch has the appropriate relays/fuses, to run the lights, in place.

Will my 2009 RKC be capable of running headlight, passing lamps and the fog lights at the same time or will I overload the circuits?

You won't overload the ckt, I ran all that plus a lot more on my 07 EGC, and never had a problem.

 

Actually, you won't see much improvement in road visibilty but you will probably be seen by others a bit better. The H3 just doesn't put out that much light, even with a stepped up Halogen bulb.

 

IMHO it's a big improvement they are made well and one of the better bang for the buck from HD, Fog lights don't give you much forward lights but will light up the sides very nicely. Crappy video I shot but it does give you some idea, with all 5 lights running it's the only bike I've owned that give me the light comparable to a car.

Read somewhere where someone ran the wire through the crashbar. Don't know if I would do that!
