Default Gypsy Biker Bed Rolls

I am looking for a tent or something to sleep in when I go on weekend campout rides. Looking on here I saw a couple mentions of the Gypsy Biker Bed Rolls (http://iamdonwood.com/bedrolls.html). This thing looks cool, but I am having a hard time seeing it keeping water out since it has snaps and rivets. I don't know for sure and I can't find any reviews or anything. Anyone had an experience with the gypsy biker bed roll?

Looks pretty good, but I would still carry a light weight 8x10 tarp to throw over the bike and myself for more protection during a heavy rain. Being wet and cold makes for a long nite!!!

PS Oh yeah, and a few bungee chords.

You can get a small one person tent at walmart for under $50. They have a lil bag to store it in and are small enough to strap to the bike for bringing it with you. If all youre doing is the weekemd camping thing you dont really need anything fancy but it is your money.

All that stuff ok till mother nature takes a sudden long hard **** on you and like a guy said already cold & wet makes for a very long if keeps rainy and those cheap wally wold tents leak like a cheap diaper & they tend be trashed after a few seasons . Your comfort spend a little more and get some proper gear you'll be money ahead and much happier for years to come .

If you wanna look like a badass or a cowboy then get one of those! On a rainy night, you'll take on the looks of a fool!!

If you wanna keep your badass dry and warm, then get a good tent from Bass Pro or Cabelas, a good sleeping bag, an air matress w/ a 12v pump and you'll be a "happy camper" (sorry, I couldn't help myself) It should all roll up into a roll, not much bigger than the one your looking at, and I promise, when your caught on a rainy, cold, night somewhere, you'll be much more comfortable!!!

have a look at the sleeping bag from elite survival systems, I have one and it ***** up to being about the size of a softball.
http://www.elitesurvival.com/sleeping-bags/

as for tents on the bike i have narrowed it to two short list choices

As for higher buck gear, i do have a mountain hardware room with a view tent, but it is far from practical to haul on a bike for a weekend outing, the ones below I chose for features, and most importantly size when packed.

this one from LL Bean
http://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/72837...Value_0=Pewter

and this one from coleman, alot of good reviews on the net on this one, but packs slightly larger then the top one at 22x6 inches
http://www.coleman.com/coleman/colem...=#.TxPeEvnkboQ

the LLbean tent is free standing, has slightly more vestibule room, and packs 2 inches shorter the coleman

The coleman is 1/4 the price, has more square feet inside, has a higher center height by 20 inches,

and a bad a$$ cot, for those who like em
