Have a 2007 Softail Deluxe and I need to change the starter solenoid. Currently not working and need some help. Anyone out there have a manuel that they can scan the pages and show me how to replace the solenoid? Never done one before.............and no time like the present. If it makes a difference, Model # FLSTN

Just an FYI...I'm not the forum po-lice or a moderator but "Copyrighted material can not be posted on HDForums." The service manual is copyrighted material and cannot be scanned and posted here. Purchasing the service manual is the best money you'll ever spend on your bike.I never had to replace a solenoid but maybe someone will chime in with some technical advice that will help you out. Realy easy to change. Most of the time you just have to pull the plunger out and file the contact plate.

 

My first bike, so sorry about the request for "copyrighted material", will know better next time. Yes, I will be getting a service manual when a job comes around. Thanks again.

 

What exactly is it doing to make you think the solinoid is bad?
