Default Clean your IAC

Best thing I found to clean your IAC Sensor is CRC Mass Air Flow Sensor Spray Cleaner for about $8.99 4-5 short blasts in the sensor hole while cycling the sensor with a lint free cloth underneath the sensor and also clean your Induction Module after with CRC Throttle Body & Intake Cleaner Spray @ 5.99 what a difference my SG runs like new! can buy both at Napa or your local parts store.

I've saved your suggestion. Are you cleaning on a schedule? I did that a while back when I was trying to track-down some idling issues, later linked to the TPS, and used WD-40 and maybe solvent (Naphtha) as well. Both are good at cutting crud like that which forms in the IAC orifice, but the product you describe sounds like its made for use in that area.

Yes it is made for that I sure wouldn't want to clean with a harmful product and ruin the sensor. Maybe WD-40 is also a good product to use not sure!

Remove your air cleaner and the IAC will be right behind it attached the intake manifold.

I had all kinds of prpblems with an erratic idle, cleaned IAC, didn't help. Changed TPS, problems gone, even decel pop is gone now. Not sure TPS did that but no more pop.

It senses air coming into your throttle body and gets dirt & crap lodged in it.
Should be cleaned once a year or so. It will improve your fuel mileage & idle by cleaning it.
IAC = Idle Air Control
