Default 1st Oil Change to Synth in 103 w/cooler

Have the 103 with oil cooler.

About to do 1st oil change to syn.

From what I can see, I doubt the oil will drain from the cooler when I drain the engine.

So I assume a small amount of old oil gets mixed into the new fresh oil.

Any tricks to emptying the oil cooler? Any concerns about this?

Appreciate insight from those who have done it LOL.

No concerns here, but a lot of folks us the Scavenger from Rogue Chopper. Personally I dont worry about it.

It's just like a car. Your never going to get all the old oil out. I wouldn't worry about it.

Ya. Some oil is left behind. You can buy the oil scavenger or other units that completely remove all the oil but it's one of those things, you decide how important half a quart is.

Not necessary but I pull the lines at the adapter and blow into one of them to drain the cooler, 2 hose clamps no big deal.

I wonder how much oil you actually get out of that cooler?

I just did my first oil change. Switched to Mobil 1. I had no issues with the small amount left.
