Default HD Syn 3 oil

Know this is not safe to say, but I'm saying it.

For all the folks that has been spreading the bad info on Syn 3 oil saying its make by Citgo and Hugo Chavez owns Citgo. Or its made by sonoco oil. Found out you are doing just that. Spreading info you got no idea about.
HD has a contract with Mobile One and Mobile One produces Syn 3 oil.

That's good to know. Just picked up my Syn 3 (AKA Mobile One) at NAPA for half what Harley wants for it.

Please post your source. Unless this just happened like yesterday I doubt it to be true.
Bob is the oil guy states that the syn 3 is a citgo product.
I will believe the vast info over there long before I put any stock in this statement.

And why should we believe you over the others?

If you are going to accuse someone of spreading misinformation, why don`t you show some proof?

Talked to the HD tech this morin at the HD shop in Conroe, Texas
He said he was taught that at MMI when he went to school in Phoenix.

Don't really care if you believe me or not. I'm Nobody....... Remember.

And the HD certified mechanic said he has gotten on a few forums and tried to help some people having problems workin on bikes. But most folks talkin know more than he does so he gave up.

Citgo did have the HD oil contract for many years maybe they changed in the last year or two. But Syn3 is not Mobil1. Dealer techs will tell you anything to get you to buy their stuff. When Harley Davidson first came up with Synthetic they wanted Exxon Mobil to brand Mobil1 with a HD logo on it. Exxon Mobil refused. They will not degrade their marketing label Mobil1 by adding anyone elses logo to it. I don't blame them either.

what you need to do is get a copy of the MSDS that Harley filed with the US government which will show who makes Syn3. Since every oil manufacturer openly has them on their websites (with the exception of Harley Davidson) I can only believe that Harley is hiding the fact that Citgo still makes their oils.
