Default Is this a stock air cleaner or stage 1?

Ok so I bought my deluxe used, pulled the "football" cover off last night and this is what I see. Is this a stock filter or did the previous owner put a stage 1 on it?

Thanks!
-Aaron

I'm curious what identifies this to y'all as a stage 1 air cleaner? Just curious because the one on my workbench that states the same thing the pic idenitifes, "For HD TWIN CAM COVERS ONLY." Is it because he has the football cover off in the pics that y'all are thinking this perhaps?

Aaron, what I believe you have there is the stock air cleaner. I may be wrong because I haven't had a SE filter, but it looks like the my stock one. If you had a SE or Arlen Ness Big Sucker assembly, you could still use your stock cover for the stage 1 setup. But I'm not sure what you have there is it, it looks like a stock assembly to me.

Im with Dean...white equals paper right? If it was a stage one it would be oiled wouldnt it? I have one in my garage and its oiled with red oil like a K&N.

That is not a stock air cleaner that is the Harley Davidson stage 1 Kit. The stock ac has a different shape and no wire mesh on it.

The Harley stage 1 kit has a white synthetic meida that requires NO OIL. That is why it is not red. It is washable and it needs to be cleaned BAD.

Its not just the filter its the backing plate and how it mates up to the carb/plenium is what makes it the stage one. Thats what harley advertises it as and calls it and thats why we call it that, check the parts book.
