I'm going to try these cams in my 08 sg.The motor is stock with se heavy breather and se mufflers(old style with no cat in them).I'm not looking for big numbers just a little more from the little 96"er.Hopefully they will do the job. Also doing the 30t tranny pulley and the 68t rear pulley.
You should like them. Well mannered and smooth. Starts to come on after 2500 rpm, but that is where I want it and better than stock all around. Easy to tune also - make sure you do.
You are going to love the 254e cams more take off power,
and more 18 wheeller passing power. If I was you I'd do
the cams first, then decide on wheather to change out the
gears or not, you might not have to.
im a fan of gearing i would change that firist so i could compare the difference, either way do it one at a time, you'll be surprised what just gearing can do.
