Default Fork oil ?

Service manual in near future, but till then any one know how many oz's of fork oil are in each tube on a 2012 wide glide?

I measured 26 in one and 24 in the other..

Also can manuals be found cheaper than the Harley list price??

Fork oil level is measured in distance from the top of the fork and not amount of oil in the fork. It is roughly 24 oz.

In my 07 service manual my wg takes 26.9 or 29.6oz. Been a while so I don't remember which. There was never any mention of distance measured from the top of the tube.

The Progressive tech sheet says a measurement in inches, but also to check with your owners manual.
My owners manual says nothing about it.

Went to Lakeville Harley, the parts guys says I thought I needed four jugs, so picked up 4 of them, and he said to go ask the guys in service what the measurement was.

Guy in service looked up from the mag he was reading and said to buy the service manual...ya I will, but not from them.

The progressive tech sheet is incorrectly directing you to the incorrect place. The info is located in the SERVICE manual, not owner's manual.

Here is what it says in my 2007 WG service manual:

(I stand corrected as it does list a measurement. I learned something today lol)

Not typically.

The 2010 manual also says 29.6 oz for the Wide Glide, so 2012 should be the same.

I can not tell you about your bike as it is an 2012, but when I PC'd my front end on my 08 SB the measurement was an approximate and you needed to measure the fork oil height in the tube. They might have changed that in your year but I would try and find the exact procedure from someone that has the service manual for your bike so you will not have to do the same job twice.
