Default Taking 07 Heritage Seat off to change battery

How do I take seat off an 07 Heritage so I can change out the battery? Do I have to take off the passenger seat first? Where do I start?

The '07 model year was when HD threw everyone a curve ball. In order to charge the battery you first have to remove any saddle bags and backrest. Then you have to remove the fuel tank. After the tank is off remove the seat bolt that is under it. Then remove the passenger seat and then the rear bolt of the front seat. Then because of the battery design you have to remove the oil tank to unbolt the bracket that holds the battery in. Now you can remove the battery and charge it. Reverse the procedure to put everything back together.

That's BS....on the '07 you can loosen the bolts and shift the oil tank rearward. You don't have to take it all the way out. He's messin with you.

unscrew the bolt on the back of the pillion and lift seat off.

Unscrew the two nuts at the back of the front seat and lift driver seat up and toward the rear to remove it.

There is Ur battery.
Then take U bolts off the battery leads, do the Neg first, then the pos.
lift the battery out.

Reverse the order to install new one.
