Default Sundowner seat

Proud owner of '07 RK Custom w/stock seat which isn't too comfortable for s/o. I just bought an H-D Sundowner seat which is definitely wider for the passenger. The Sundowner, IMHO, breaks up the lines of the bike but to keep peace at home, I'll put it on for the little woman.
The front part of the seat looks different than my stock seat, to which I've become quite accustomed. I'm going to pick up the seat tomorrow or Friday. The dealer says, of course, once out the door, the seat is mine forever.
I'm hoping for some feedback on the Sundowner seat.

I have one that I use for 2 up, my wife loves it. I prefer the stock seat when 1 up. Did you look on the classified section? Sundowner seats show up there often.

I had a Sundowner on my Sporty. I loved it and so did my wife. I have a TallBoy (which is basically a Sundowner that is pushed back 2 inches) on my RKC and after 6000 miles, love it too.

You wont be sorry, its a very comfortable seat. Bought a perfect used one here on the forum and sold my stock seat here too. Ended up costing me about $60 to get into a Sundowner seat.

Don't go into it thinking that you wont like it. I've read a lot of good stuff here about these seats. Probably be great!!

Default Try It - Don't Buy It - Yet!

Harley now has the try a seat program available thru your local dealer. I'm not positive they would have a "trial" seat available for your 07 but they definately have the program now. Talk to your local dealer first!

BTW - I had a Sundowner on my Sporty and ended up putting one on my RK! GREAT SEAT!!

I've had mine for 2 years now and about 20,000 miles and I've never had a better seat. I love my sundowner.

I'd find another dealer. My dealer has a 30 day return policy on seats as long as they are in "unused" condition. The parts guy just said be careful with it and as long as it isn't jacked up they'd take in back. They also offered to let me borrow one for the day to go riding with the OL so we could get a good feel for it. I ain't buying a seat unless my *** puts some miles on it first, what's comfy for most may not be comfy for me.

Really happy with the ride on the Sundowner but miss my Mustang(off to MCC for rework)Solo and passenger pillion set up. The seat sets a little funny at first but rides out really well, I do not care for the fit to my '03 RK dash and the 'Stang fits there better too.
