the pink wire i was referring to is on the back of the speedo not the tach. that is your tach signal wire. there may be other colors in other locations but I'm not 100% sure where or what colors. look on the back of the speedo. the pink wire may not be connected to anything just sitting in the harness

There is a pink wire taped in loom, not used on Roadkings, but not on FLHT's. I Would like to use the audiovox, if I can work it out, as they have been extremely reliable on anything I have installed them on. The harley kit is discontinued and hard to find parts for, and will only get worse in time. Also, I have read the longivity is not that great with them. I have everything worked out, and the Audiovox should be a fairly easy install, if I can pick up a true tack signal, with very few parts to fail.

My concern was what type of signal is sent to tach from the computer and if it might mess with the tach. I was hoping to find a suitable connection in the fairing, where I plan on mounting the servo and vacuum canister. I think if I connect to the front coil negative, it will work fine. I am going to attempt this project, and will post the results. Harley has discontinued the old kits and parts, even on the 2007 models, so if this works, could help many. Thanks for the input....Russ
