Default Turn Signal Relocation 2012 1200 Custom

Has anyone relocated the turn signals on their bike with a read LED brake light? How the hell do you do it? It's nothing like the standard's are as the lens doesn't appear it is supposed to be removed.

I want to install Saddlebags but can't until I can relocate the turn signals. Not sure where the wiring for the turn signals is running and if it is to the tail light not sure how to access it.

remove the strut covers and rear fender off the bike and it's pretty obvious. On the 48 they plug in under the seat w/ a molex connector.

OK well I guess it's going to be a few days. Just found out the relocation kit I picked up from Easy Brackets (Great Bike Gear) only works on 2011 and earlier Custom. I may have to opt for the Stealership relo kit even though i didn't want to.

These are the instructions for the rear turn signal and plate relocation posted on HD's site:
http://www.harley-davidson.com/en_US...ts/-J03892.pdf

Those pictures should help.

Thanks that does help. I'll still have to get another kit as the bracket I got will not mount to the tail lamp assembly.

I had to do that on my Roadster. I got a relocation kit from the dealer, don't remember the cost, but it was cheap.
The signels unplug and the stems unscrew. There was plenty of extra wire.
They then screw into the stems on the new licence plate holder/ relocation kit.
Probably took an hour, ~40-50$???

More like $90 from what the catalog says which is more expensive than what I paid for this one. And it looks cheap to. Nothing but a bar holes in it.

The HD relocation kit is a pain in the a** to install. I was even lucky enough to install it twice due to the fact that one of the ends of that bar with the threads snapped off with my directional on it!

If you do opt for the HD kit, put Red loctite on the threads when you screw the directional on to it and if you do plan on strapping anything on that bar, use caution!
