The back story is, I stopped by Cajun HD last week for a primary gasket & ended up chatting with Erica, the service manager. She asked me to come by & be an "inspirational speaker"....Yeah, I know.

For those who don't know what a Garage Party is, it's an event HD shops put on to teach women about bikes & encourage them to ride.

Here are me & Erica...

 

When she first asked, I figured it could go one of two ways...Either the ladies would be impressed, or they'd run screaming when they figured out what could happen. Turned out they were impressed. Shocked the **** out of me. They ALL loved my C.O.B.B. patch. I told 'em they REALLY don't want one, however!

 

Now, the Queens have talked about Garage Parties before & told us about them teaching the ladies how to pick up a bike if they dropped it...But they never mentioned any Harley shop doing THIS!



They had a bike hooked up to the dyno & were letting the ladies get on & run through the gears...Yeah, teach 'em to ride in a straight line!

One older lady screamed her head off & came out breathing hard & walking funny...Draw your own conclusions!

 

Also got a little bag of goodies...



Yes, that's a black solo cup mated to an acrylic wine glass stem. Shame it won't last past the first party.

Anyhoo, Erica said she'd like to have me back when they do another one! I had loads of fun & Butch & Angie got out a bit!

I think the "rolling road" dyno thing is something HD is sending out to dealerships for their Garage Parties / "Biker Boot Camp" nights.

All three dealerships in the immediate St Louis area all have one now.
Kind of neat.
