I have a 2012 SG and found that there are 12" shocks on it, which I'm assuming it was lowered from stock. First question is: what are the stock shocks for this bike,13" ? And 2nd question: Is there a chart to see how much air to put in the shocks for the optimal ride? I'm 6'3 and 250lbs if that helps.
The Ultra came with 13'' and SG came with the 12'' from factory. Your owners manual will give you the pressures but you going to need the Harley hand pump to fill them.

I bought it from an auction place and a manual didn't come with it. The ad said that it had a lowered rear suspension which is why I figured that the shocks were changed. I might try the 13" shocks and see if that helps with my position on the bike, feels a little cramped right now, also might try a tall boy seat.
Do not exceed 35 psi on rear and 25 psi on front...that is what the owners manual states. I usually run them on 10 psi when I am alone..Same weight as you.

Thx that's all I was wondering. I'll bump it up to 10 as soon as I get a Harley air pump and see how it feels.
I went with 13s myself since 12s only offer 2" of travel. You may also want to search for the oil change thread for the shocks (yes, they have oil in them) or just upgrade altogether.

I believe the newer bikes have a 50psi max for the shocks. The forks no longer have air...
