Thanks. Not sure of the angle you are looking for. I know your set up is different than stock but I'll tell you what it is like with stock and hopefully that will help. With the stock inner fender the compressor is hidden completely. Since it fits within the width of the innder fender there is no protrusions that stick out on the sides.

especially because they are the all in one unit like the SAS system I have, plus %650 cheaper, nice.......

The compressor is seperate from shock unit. It's not a "all in one", like the SAS. Compressor is mounted to tranny on top of shock body.

i am seriously considering shotgun air shocks for my 08 night train.i thought sas was short for shotgun air shocks but sounds like they are different..in aus they be more than 1500 but if they as good as they seem to be i would be happy to pay good money for good product..cheers

Default Shotgun Air Shocks

i put a set of the shotgun shocks on my 05 Softail standard and the quality of ride is great. i considered the SAS system by CCCS is a nice system for the newer bikes if you have to worry about emissions since the compressor is built into the shock unit whereas the shotgun shock isn't. the compressor that i was sent isn't for the Softail model but actually for the newer system they developed for FLH's. it moves the rear suspension very quickly and both height and rebound are adjustable, everything in the shotgun kit is very high quality. I would use the shotgun shock on any other bikes that i mod.

There is also the Platinum Bleed feed designed by the same gentleman. That is what I roll and I can get it for a few hundred less. Other advantages to the platinum include that fact that they are two separate shock bodies so there is not need to remove to drain the transmissions and less stress on your swing arm bushings. Either way, you can't go wrong with either. Know that if you do not avhe a CA bike you will need the CA emission bracket to install the Platinum. $15 for the bracket.
