Air suspension choices? Labor/Installation cost?
I bought an 09' Crossbones which I'm picking up tomorrow. I'll post pics!! My question is I'm shopping around for an air suspension/ lowering system. What different makes are there to look at? I'd like to keep the cost around $500. I will be riding 2 up 50% of the time. What would the install time/labor cost be in general. I'm mechanically retarded.

With that badass new ride of yours....i say save another $400.00-500.00= $900.00-1000.00 total and do it right. Buy a Shotgun Shock. One of the best around. You can adjust ride hieght/firmness on this set-up.
For around $550.00 the Hi/Low by biker buddy
check e-bay for both....You should research before you buy. This is a major upgrade.
And install is very simple just take your time. And buy some beer.

I've seen quite a few others on this forum who swear by the Shotgun Suspension. Perhaps I'll save up the coin, and pick it up. I have a set of 52 spoke Mammoth rims (18x5.5 200Metz and 21x3.5 120/70Metz on their way from Outlaw Cycles. I'm trying to get everything together, and having it done all at once.

There is also the Platinum Bleed and feed system which was designed by JD, the guy who makes Shotgun Shock. I have the bleed and feed on my Heritage and love it. I think the Platinum is a better product for several reasons, but we won't get into that now. I am a dealer for Platinum if you are interested in one send me a PM and we can talk.

Before I bought my progressive suspension 2 weeks back, I did research and the Shotgun seemed to be well liked by all that owned it. If the air ride you buy does not come with a clean way to attach to a power source on the back let me recommend one of these, Harly part #70270-04.
This stops you from butchering up the harness. See link below

Also if HarlyGoodies says its a good product he has, you can believe its pretty good, he would'nt risk his rep on selling junk.
