Default Legend air suspension question

Can the older model Legend shocks (FL X1) designed for pre 2009 bikes be used on the later model baggers?

Apart from a small difference in length (9.5 compressed, 12.9 extended versus 10 compressed, 13 extended), is there any other mounting considerations or is it just a case of ensuring you don't bottom out at 9.5"?

They should bolt up fine, '99-'14 have the same fitment. All the way down you should be on the bumpstops and able to roll the bike. On mine with my 18" rear wheel and custom fender the fender sits on the tire before it hits the bumpstops so I am screwed if I lose air while riding, I don't recommend that. Bolt them up and see if you have clearance.
