I have a 2014 CVO Road King that I am currently putting a sound system on. I have two Polk MM6501's in the lower fairing and two Rokker 5x7's in the lids. I have Cerwin Vega B2 running all four, but I want to put another Cerwin Vega amp in. Having one amp per set of speakers. The question I have is do I need to change out the stock charging system if I have two amps? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
So why does Harley say you need to upgrade the alternator if you upgrade to the Boom2 system?
LOL. . .Harley Davidson is in business to make money. I guess it wouldn't hurt if you had the extra cash laying around. But it's definitely not necessary.
Thank you for all your help. I will hook up both amps. The Cerwin Vegas are very good amps for the money. I have had no problems with the B2, and it puts out plenty of power to whatever speakers your using.

Might want to pay special attention to the gains on the JM speakers. That amp is rated at 250 watts RMS @ 2 ohms. Never sure what the specs are on the JM stuff. The Polks will be fine.
Thanks Gannicus. I was sure the Rokkers were what I was looking for but, when I hooked them up to the B-2 they could not handle the same volume level as the Polk Audio's. I will pay close attention to the gains when I put the second amp on. I have been looking at the Polk Audio MM571's if these Rokker's don't work out. I hope I didn't make a costly mistake.
