Default Kappa & AWG question?

I have a 2013 Street Glide. Currently my left speaker is inop, I can get it replaced under warranty since I have a month left on it, but have been looking at my other options. I have been reading over posts on here for a few days now and have noticed some overwhelmingly hi opinions of the Infinity Kappas, but they are not waterproof/resistant so I was curious as to how they acted when caught in rain for those of you who have them. The amp I am contemplating is the RF PBR300x2, and was curious on which gauge wire you have run for the ground/power I've come across 10, 8, & 4 AWG and not sure what is required. I have also been contemplating just going with the R1-HD2-9813(70rms) until a few years form now when I can afford to make it a 4 speaker set up, though a member here has said they aren't that great of a kit, but even with 1 stock speaker I can still here my music while doing 60-80 in my full helmet. Any advice tips, would be greatly appreciated, even though I see it has been brought up many many times.
P.S. cant really do more then $300-350 at this point in time.

8 gauge or 10 will work fine. And yes I'm that member who told you to stay away from the R1-HD-9813 But hey man it's your money. I'm just trying to save you some grief. You are not going to like it. Trust me. For $350 I would get a set of value line 7.1 speakers from biketronics for the fairing $150 and a power acoustic RZ4.2000D $110. For the rear pods I would go with a set of KSC67 kickers $99

Total: $360 bucks for a kick *** 4 speaker system.

Roger that. Two options. A set of Infinity 62.11i speakers or a set of the value line 7.1 speakers from biketronics. If you are going with the PBR300x2 amp the infinity's are your best bet.

That's what i am leaning towards too, i was unsure about how thick the ground and power needed to be so i thought I'd ask, the only thing I'm hesitant about now is that the Kappas aren't waterproof/marine grade. Which i don't plan on riding in the rain, but i have been caught in it more then a few times, and i know i will again.

The Kappas will hold up just fine in the rain. Now I wouldn't take a water hose and spray directly on them but a downpour they'll handle just fine.

2010 Limited with some stuff

I like the Cerwin B2 over the PBR quite a bit. I'd only go with the PBR if I 100% needed FM reception.

For install wire 10 or 8 g Boss kit on amazon works and it's around 10 bucks.

I've washed my fairing 2 or 3 times since I've had the kappas. I wouldn't say I just shot water right at them but I didn't avoid them either and they r just fine..
