There are numerous styles of quick connects. Some more expensive than others. But these are about as simple as it gets and they work flawlessly.

If you get Hogtunes lids they come with a harness that already has quick disconnects, or at least mine did.

So, are HOG TUNE Lids just as good as OEM,, When I buy the bike, should I tell the dealer to order the lids and have them ready for pick up too? Or Get HT? How is the paint match, (Getting Amber Whiskey)

I'm not sure because they are out of my price range, but don't just the CVO's get factory speaker lids? I believe they only accept 5x7 speakers, but there are 6x9 adapters. Factory color matched paint will always be a better color match, but comes at a price. The Hogtunes lids themselves are pretty nice pieces and I'm happy with mine. Wait up....are you considering the Boom speakers?

Jim,

The Hogtune lids are just as nice or nicer construction than OEM lids. I got mine for about 320.00 from HogPro delivered, but you'll need to get them painted. I had mine painted by the local contracted HD painter for 100 bucks a lid. They look perfect.

I think the CVO lids look better on a bike. It completes the "HD Look" and you can order them color matched straight from HD. The downside is they only fit 5X7's. Biketronics is the only company I know makes a 5X7 to 6X9 adaptor that will fit these particular lids. So you don't have much options on what speakers to go with, but these are damn good speakers. Not sure if they have adaptors for the Rushmores yet.

I WAS looking at the Boom II upgrade, decided to do BikeTronics audio upgrade on the stock RGS instead, believe after reading I'll get more Boom for the Buck,,,, (see what i did there?) LOL. Guess I'll price out the CVO lids,, what's different on them from the stock HD speaker lids? Just looked at some pictures,, is the difference that the CVO kind of are on the outside edge of bag lid? Where the others are centered on the front?
