How good are the Hog tunes?
#21
Ooook. Busted. It's true, I was trying to get away with being lazy. But I figured they had their setup already figured out and readily easy for novices like myself. Ill swallow my pride and say I'm more scared id get into it and getting stuck and not being able to figure it out and mess up my wiring somehow and burn up my bike. I can turn a wrench, no problem. But I'm definitely not an electrician.
So now I'M back to square one and overwhelmed.

1-We need to know your budget
2-2speaker or 4speaker system
3-Is keeping FM a priority
4-What are your expectations
The guys here can help you with a budget system that will sound awesome. Or they can hook you up with a top of the line system that will blow your socks off. And all of them are tried and true systems.

All I can say that on the 2014 limited in my experience . If you have to use the dealer for a flash make sure they can do it and it works . Just remember that if you do any updates on your radio then your new amp and speakers my not work properly again I went with the BT 7.1 pros and 4180 amp. Spent 110 dollars at dealerships in flashes , I had no fader no bass no treble not very loud . Took everything back out sent it back cost me about 50 dollars in shipping. Got a refund for system . Put hog tune speakers in while I had everything apart . ( no amp ) Ended up putting HT in the rear pods also. ( still no amp ) Better then stock not going to win a contest but you don't have to use the dealership and not worry about radio updates . Bikertronics makes some great products just didn't work for me.

If it were me, and working off the budget from the HT kit I would get:
BT Speakers - 299.00
http://www.biketronics.com/bt465-6-5...e-speaker-kit/
Cerwin Vega B2 - 120.00
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...n-Vega-B2.html
Magic Box - 70.00
http://www.cyclesounds.com/dsp-line-...ox-harley.html
Amp wiring kit - 12.00
About 500 bucks that will sound great and not hard to install. With the magic box no need to splice or worry about dealer flash.

Be advised with 2014+ you may need new grills, the reason I posted the BT's on there is they come with the full kit for the 2015's. If you are installing these in a 2013 or earlier you'll need adaptors for the fairing and grills for the lowers. For the rear pods fit is hit or miss with the Kappas.

Listened to you guys that I posted.
Got my side job .Emailed biketronics and kind of a disappointment. Told them what model I had and then try to sell me the street glide set up for 1k
Told them that was not my bike I said and it jumped up to 1500 to 1600.Not even including lower pods and speakers.
So what can I do with 700 to 1k max for my 2011 flhtk (ULTRA LIMITED )
Thanks

Just need to clarify, how many speakers? And if you are putting speakers in the lowers do you already have pods?
I may also have some things on the shelf at home. I'll send you a PM.
