Have a 2012 ultra Limited. I can hear riders in my group clearly over the CB radio parked and while riding at Hwy speed using either headset or speakers. Problem is the riders can't hear me when I transmit while riding at Hwy speed. All they hear is a washing machine sound like distortion (completely unintelligible). They can hear me fine when parked doing a Comm Check or at very low speed (i.e. LT 30 mph). Any idea what is causing the problem and recommended fix? Using a J&M Performance headset and boom mic. Have also ensured mic is pointing in the right direction toward my mouth when speaking. Group members are no more than 40 or 50 yards away.

 

i would say it was the headset...borrow a HD and try it to check...
