Like it says...does anyone have the pin-out for the stock HD iPod interface cable? HD cable part number: 72651-11. This is the cable that connects from the interface unit to the iPod. The PDF from HD's website only references the harness to connect the navi unit with the iPod unit and the HK unit.

If I can get the pin-out, I can narrow down my issues located in this thread:

I've the same problem. My ipod doesn't charge on my Boom Audio IPod Interface.

Thanks for your reply. I know that the thread is 1.5y old, but I bought my street glide last week from a man who didn't use an ipod at all ​and have this problem from the beginning.

Unfortunately I have the problem with the ipod that doesn't charge and not even my HD dealer could help. He had to stop searching after two hours or it would have become too expensive.

The thread was the best way to get an answer and it was the only thing I could find in the web on that.

I just did a member search and Copyless is still a member. One of the threads suggested contacting him for the answer. Once that was posted the OP stopped asking.

So again I am suggesting you send Copyless a PM

 

Anyone find the pin-out for the 72651-11 cable that goes from the iPod in the Saddlebag to the micro round connector outside the saddlebag? If your iPod is not charging it is likely in that small round connector. It likely twisted and broke one of the wires in it. Mine broke 2. If i can get a schematic I'd replace the connector vs. $150 for the cable from HD (ridiculous). Poor design.

 

Not specific to HD but I doubt either HD or this aftermarket maker used a cable of their own design. Likely same pinout and lots cheaper

 

Thanks Greg, I had seen that on eBay, but for some reason it didn't catch my eye as the same cable I was looking for. Harley cable $145 locally, found a Harley online dealer for $113. At $30 I know where my order is going. Much appreciated.
