16 rg - want to keep the stock radio -- have lower fairing for speaker install --

Need -- amp that will fit in fairing -- 300 - 400

four 6.5 speakers -- not more than $125 per set -- I'm partial to infinity -- but since I'm not going in the bags made need something with more bass response

necessary wires and assorted interface -- would like to keep all hand control functions

suggestions?

I have a Streetglide but speakers and amps are speakers and amps. Running Soundstream PN4.1000D with Kappa 62.11's in the fairing. Sounds great and decent bass. $150 for the amp (4 channel x 250/channel at 2ohms RMS) and $104 per set for Kappa's. Waiting on my lower speaker pods to install the second set. Can't wait to hear it. Eventually will install 6x9's in lids with Cerwin Vega B2 (250 a side RMS at 2 ohms)

I think you will be very happy with this especially for less than $400

 

For an amp in your price range I'd go with a diamond micro4, I've got this and a micro2 in my fairing, after that it'd be a cerwin vega b54, the SS 1000.4 is a great amp but a tough fit in a RG! As for speakers I've read that the arc moto 6.5s have real good bass response, but a bit more than your wanting to spend! You can get a plug n play harness from Garage bagger stereo, soundz, biketronics or V twin audio just to name a few! I'm still using my 6.5 Harley deck with all thumb controls working!

I have CVO lids and 6.5 Arc Moto 602's on my 15 RGS,, Biketronics 4180 amp and the BT 5x7 speakers in the lids.. flash is noted in my signature... I have a few threads with videos of the music. I see you're not going with Bag lids, sorry,, the Arc Moto 602's have nice base,,, I'm very happy with them.
