I see in your sig you have the flash and bin file...if you haven't already done so get the BT line leveler. Makes a big difference!

Took the fairing back off yesterday and pulled the pods apart and ran a bead of silicon around them. Even took a file to the surface where the speaker mounts just to give a little more room for the grills. Then put it all together and added a small amount of poly fill to the pods. Now if I could just make it spring and the snow go away

I have heard there is a noticeable improvement in sound quality after sealing those pods up. Give the silicon time to fully dry and try them out. By the way, what speaker and amp did you end up going with?

Is the pod removal/disassembly process "self explaining" once you get into it? Any special instructions or warnings?

Super easy. There's 5 screws holding them in, 2 on top and 3 on the bottom. Then 7 that hold it together. On the inside half there's a channel you can run the silicone in.

Just make sure not to seal the port on the bottom. And get a little extra in the top leg that goes around the air scoop.

Lifetime warranty, and pretty kick *** system. They are also coming out with their version of the magicbox. So no hassle on the flash.

Good luck in your decision.
