Default arc 125.4 vs BT 4180 or BT 2180c ?

Hi, well i can get a arc 125.4 500w app from friend on this forum, the price is right ,he going to let me use it ,or they have sale on all BT stuff for presidents day and forum discount that 20%,i am going to run the focal 165KRC in front fairing, and this summer add the speakers to maybe a hog tunes 6X9 speaker lids. and go with what the audio guys on here suggest for speakers, i live in iowa so got 2 months before can ride, what would be the best option, never have lowers just these four speakers, so do i need 4 channel amp or is the BT 2180 a option or just go right to BT4180, or is the arc good enough,i havnt a clue so please chime in, thanks for your time

Depending on you budget right now and the future upgrade you are talking about if you can afford the bt4180 I would go that route. Buy once and that way you have a good starting point

Is the Arc "good enough" -- yes. For a while those Arc Mini's were the top dogs in HD audio. They pump out crystal clear sound. The downside is they don't pump out lots of power compared to what's available today. BUT are they good enough, I think so. I know plenty of folks that have those amps.

The 4180 is big leap up in power. The current deal is one helluva price. At 550, if that include mounting hardware and a line leveler (maybe two for front and rear) you're talking somewhere in the 400's for that amp. That's a steal and I think you would never need to upgrade again.

All that said, if you have the cash the BT is worth it at that price. If you don't then yes, the Arc is "good enough" but the BT option is better.

The amp comes with everything in the pic. I would still call BT and order over the phone I ended up with 30% discounts, Christmas, Forum member, and military + another $100 bucks off. I have a Rushmore limited so I also needed to purchase a Breakout harness from BT. Like I said I would call Bill at BT to find out just what you need, then talk to the sales girls. They are a family business and offer OUTSTANDING customer support. I ended up with the 4180 amp, the 7.1 speakers with brackets, and the breakout harness for $800 bucks shipped.

As Paul said call Bill. Ask him about the BT speaker brackets also. There not available online without speakers but they will sell them without if you ask. This way you can get rid of those POS speaker pods and let those Focals breathe. The brackets are drilled for standard 6.5 speakers along with there 7.1's. I am sure T will agree.
