Hi guys!
I have recently installed new stereo on my 2013 RGC. Setup is as follows:

Hertz ECX
JL M2/200
Sony MEXM70BT

I have followed some instructions to setup the amp and whatnot, but I get really bad hissing sound when I turn the ignition on.. you can kinda sorta hear it when the music has a lot of 'quiet spots' - think of Adele's Hello.

My gains are at 11 o'clock - I had them at 9 o'clock before but couldn't hear anything at half of the volume going on the freeway.

Where do you have your amp grounded to? Try the battery.

Make sure your RCA's are not touching the metal fairing brackets.

 

It's grounded to the battery and the RCAs don't touch the metal fairing brackets. :/

 

Anytime you hear hissing. 9 times out of 10 it's a ground issue.

 

Does the sound increase as you accelerate? Does it happen when using all sources? What source is being used when the noise is most prominent?
