audio newb
Im new to motorcycle audio, and have a couple of questions.
I have a 2015 SGS and want to upgrade the fairing speakers. I really like the looks of these http://www.harley-davidson.com/store...iring-speakers
is there a better aftermarket speaker with the same looking grille?
i plan on using the Cycle Sounds 4 channel mini series and running them at 4 ohms. any issues there? can i run the Biketronics BT355 with this set up to avoid the need for a dealer flash.

I like those grills too but don't know any others that are similar. Be nice to find a set as l have a set of Boston Acoustic pro series component speakers l would try out.
You'll need the Biketronics line level converter to connect an amp. Neat little piece that allows some adjustability and cleans up the signal going to the amp. You won't need the flash with this.

Don't get anything from Cycle Sounds. They use other folks equipment, re-badge it and charge you double. They have two mini amps and they only one worth a damn is the re-badge of the NVX Mini, check out Sonic electronicx.

If there is a chance in hell that u will expand ur system at some point u might look at other options.
If 2 speaks is far as ur going to go then this is a nice ultra mini amp that I used to address size constraints as a top priority.
U might look at the BT 2180 as it will give u much more room to grow.

If ur only going to run 2 speakers and are looking for the cycle sounds mini, it's the NVX MVP A4 re-branded. U will not have much room to grow with this amp. I am using it as a 2 channel amp, aka bridged and it will get u 175 RMS.

If ur worried about losing the lid sound at hwy speeds I would recommend going with lowers. Many of us do a mix of city slicker riding, rally runs, and hwy riding so the lid and inside the bag speaker sound sticks around pretty damn good for most that riding.
Go with lowers and fairing for hwy riding. Push them with the BT2180 or BT4180 and ur gonna very very happy.

I would avoid this amp then. If u run it as a 4 channel with 4 ohm speaks ur looking at 50w per speak. 2 ohm would be 100 for each speak and there are not many in that ohm that are going to be worth a damn.
