I was just looking at the BT's. Great power handling! But damn are they expensive.
I like this package http://www.biketronics.com/2014-and-...eaker-package/
Is this plug and play? Do I need anything else? Like the line leveler? Or a specific bracket? Is it hard to do myself? Cutting out the $500 installation cost for the RF package will go a long way. Plus I would get back speakers.

I just looked at my link, and it didn't include the 4 channel amp or back speakers. The total was $1389.80

500.00 installation!!!!! Holy cow that's a rip off brother. The BT stuff is pretty close to plug and play and very easy to install yourself. Call Bill up, they have terrific customer support.

500.00 buck, yikes.

That's is supposed to be a bargain, he's actually only charging me for 6 hours. Eastern Performance was going to get me for 8. Apparently, there's some modifications needed for the pods. This system seems to replace the pods. And from what I'm reading here, on other threads, pod removal, is a bitch. See? I am learning something here
I'm a true believer in buy once, cry once, but, I've already spent a fortune on the boom ****. I gotta be able to sell this stuff to the wife. I guess I will have to call BT, and get the bottom dollar. .05% distortion is awesome! So is the RMS output. I just have to talk to someone, and get all the parts I need. Then, $$$$?

Hi guys, I know it's been a while. But, I put the stereo upgrade on hold, until now. Still going with the RF TM400x4ad, but, have decided to go with the hertz 6.5 HCX 165's high powers in the fairing. If you've read in my past posts here, you'd know I'm replacing a boom amp and front speakers. My question now is, do I need anything for installation if I have the pre-existing crap? From what I've read, stick with 1.19.0, bt LL, (do I need 2?) stock flash, equalizer set to 0???? Oh, and polyfill the pods. Am I forgetting anything?
I believe I got a pretty good deal; $337 for a new RF amp (Amazon) and $177 for the Hertz (Abt)
I'd appreciate any info, comments, advice or warnings, thanks

Your original post mentions lid speakers. Are those no longer in play with this build?

Was thinking about keeping them till they blow. But, may go with the Infinty Kappa 682.11cf's, as mentioned earlier. They look like they have great power handling capabilities at a very reasonable price.

You're gonna need a special 7/16' ratcheting, swivel box end wrench to get the 6 difficult bolts to remove the pods. And if you have a 10yo kid around with tiny hands, that will be helpful too.
