2011 FLHTK-limited. Bike sat through the winter with a battery tender on but when tried to start battery was completely dead. Tested battery = fail. Replaced battery and radio/cd player work, all bar controls for radio work but when I hit the COM button to set the CB on the display reads "com option not installed see dealer". I've used the CB for the past few years and it worked fine. This just started so I'm guessing it had something to do with the battery replacement. Anyone have a similar problem or suggestions on how to repair it? Thanks

Look for any codes the bike may be throwing.

 

I checked for codes = no codes. Called the dealer but I found a CB module for the same price as diag and from what I am reading the CB module is the most common cause.

 

I've pulled mine out. Don't use com or CB.
